We understand the importance of a strong and healthy community, which is why we are a proud to be working with LIVIN throughout 2021. Founded on the Gold Coast, LIVIN is all about living your life at the top and breaking the stigma around mental health. Through their development of cutting-edge education programs, unique apparel and community awareness initiatives, LIVIN are driving a generational change towards the perception of mental health.
As one of the most prolific issues affecting Australians, mental health within our community is of the utmost importance to Robina Town Centre. The alarming statistics around mental health are not something to be ignored with approximately 45 percent of Australia’s population experiencing a mental health condition in their lifetime. Less than 50 percent of people suffering with mental health will access professional support with the stigma and perceived embarrassment remaining a significant barrier to seeking help. But together we can help break the stigma through connection and encouragement.
Throughout numerous campaigns and events this year, especially during Queensland Mental health week, our aim is to help spread the message about the importance of mental health within our local community. Not only for individuals, but family, friends and others alike.
