Solar technology has arrived at Robina!

In August 2020, Robina Town Centre set out to install the largest rooftop Solar System in the Southern Hemisphere. This massive project (which is comprised of over 13,000 solar panels) delivered in conjunction with Yurika, was completed March 2021 and has already generated 1.5 Mega Watt hours since completion. This is enough energy to power 200 homes for an entire year.

It is anticipated that every year, our Solar network will generate approximately 5.9MW of electricity – this is enough to power 1,205 homes for the same period (just shy of the whole suburb of Tallai[1])! This is the equivalent of 42% of total Centre consumption.

The new technology will reduce Robina Town Centre’s carbon emissions by 6,325.8 metric tonnes of CO2 each year. How does that compare? 6,325.8 metric tonnes is the equivalent of removing 1,350 passenger vehicles from the road each year.
